Dean Stephens-D'Angelo holds the patent she received
from the U.S. government for her scripture speaking
card. |

VA, October 22, 2003
A
former Tightsqueeze resident has invented and patented a "scripture
speaking card" aimed at spreading the Good Word.
Sylvia
Dean Stephens-D'Angelo of Newport News said she invented the
card because :God spoke to me and gave me the gift."
"It was a time when I was asking God what my purpose
was in life," said Stephens-D'Angelo.
Her
vision came to her through God's voice in March 30, 2001.
Stephens-D'Angelo
said God said to her on that day "Wouldn't it be wonderful
to have a scripture talking card for others?"
I
believe this is my purpose in life," she said. "It
is still amazing to me that no one had thought of putting
talking scripture into a card until now."
Right
now, she said, her website is the main way she and her husband
Ross D'Angelo are getting information about the card out to
the public.
The
card is available only as an "e-card" now. Although
there are some free cards at angelexpress.com, prices for
the complete line of cards range from $6.99 for a month's
access to $29.99 for a year's.
The
couple is looking for private investors to help them market
the card in physical form.
D'Angelo
adds that what the couple would like to do is attract a single
"Christian Investor" who can make the card a reality.
The couple aims to sell the card for $4.99.
Stephens-D'Angelo
said the card could be a great way to teach little children
Bible passages. The card would also be great for the elderly
who have poor eyesight.
